Today (4th September) is Professional Care Worker’s Day.

We know all of our staff go above and beyond every day in the care and support they provide for all of our residents.

On this day it is an opportunity for us to say an official ‘thank you’ to everyone who works for Westward Care - from our nurses and carers to housekeeping, catering and office staff - their contribution makes this an amazing company to be part of.

As part of the day we have handed out a personalised thank you card and a CARE badge which we hope staff will wear with pride as a unifying symbol of working in the care sector.

The CARE badge was launched by Care England and everyLIFE Technologies earlier this year to promote awareness of, and appreciation for, the crucial service people working in social care deliver. It is also about raising the esteem in which social care and its participants are held.

All profits from CARE badge sales go to care-related causes and charities selected by care workers and carers

"I read the job description and remembered caring for my grandparents and thought I want to treasure that kindness and love from them and share my experience to help others. There was something that really touched my heart in the job description and I thought 'Yes! This is what I'm looking for."
