NICHE Leeds is a partnership between care organisations, and the University of Leeds with Leeds Beckett University and Leeds City Council. They find out the issues that matter to staff, residents and families and friends, and work together to develop solutions and put these solutions into day-to-day practice.

This June, Kirsty Haunch, Researcher for NICHE, paid a visit to Headingley Hall and spoke to residents and staff about the topics NICHE are working on at the moment, including supporting residents to maintain oral hygiene, supporting residents living with dementia, understanding more about how to attract, recruit and retain staff and using technology for contact tracing.

NICHE will return to Headingley Hall later in the month to facilitate some oral care training.

If you’re a resident, family/friend or member of staff and want to know more or would like to get involved in NICHE Leeds please feel free to get in touch via niche_leeds@leeds.ac.uk.
