This month, we launched our set of new values at Westward Care, with trust, kindness, respect and teamwork announced as the keywords that all Westward Care staff are to have at the forefront of their minds going forward.

We believe that these four key values, which were arrived at through consultation with Westward Care staff members themselves, will make for the very best environment for both staff to work in and residents to live in, across all of our locations.

We chose these values because we believe in fostering trust with residents through consistent actions and honesty; in showing respect by treating everyone with fairness and dignity; in showing kindness every day through the power of small, simple acts; and in embracing teamwork to most effectively deliver care and support.

Our new values were announced at a presentation this week introduced by Westward Care Managing Director Peter Hodkinson. In a statement, Peter said: "At Westward Care, our strength lies in the values that guide us every day: Trust, Respect, Kindness and Teamwork. These are more than just words – they are the foundations of how we care for our residents, support our colleagues, and work together to create an environment we can all be proud of."

To coincide with the announcement, staff at all locations have this week been celebrating LOVE – Living Our Values Every Day – with food, balloons, T-shirts and other branded items all bearing our new LOVE logo. What LOVE means to us is consistently putting our values into practice, and celebrating wherever trust, kindness, respect and teamwork make a positive impact on residents' lives.
"We’d like to think that it is the little things we do every day that make Westward Care so unique."
