Last month Pennington Court hosted a very special celebration as our nursing client, Tony, renewed his vows with his wife of 54 years, Pamela.

Pam and Tony, who met roller skating at ages 16 and 18 respectively, were married at St Michael’s Church in Headingley in 1964 and have 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 3 great children with another one on the way!  It was a true family affair with Pam being walked down the aisle by her oldest grandchild, her niece officiating and grandson, Harvey, performing a guitar solo to end the service.  The event was held in the garden courtyard with beautiful vintage themed décor arranged by the family and the sun shone throughout the service.

Prior to the big day Pam said “The service marks the start of a new beginning for both of us and we are happy to celebrate the day at Pennington Court where the staff have become Tony’s second family.”

We’ve previously hosted many special days for our clients but this was our first wedding service at Pennington Court and it was a pleasure to be able to help the Pam and Tony celebrate this special occasion with all their close family.
"The staff at Westward Care clearly love their jobs and the residents. It is evident that they go above and beyond for the people in their care."
