Residents celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary at Headingley Hall.

Love was in the air recently when Headingley Hall residents, Maureen and Tommy, celebrated their 64th anniversary and enjoyed a romantic meal for two arranged by Headingley Hall staff.

Following a chance encounter outside the old Capital Cinema & Ballroom Complex in Leeds, Maureen and Tommy tied the knot at All Saints House on Burley Road before enjoying an honeymoon in Bournemouth.  Maureen & Tommy, who followed in his father’s footsteps and worked as a cobbler, went on the have three daughters.

Thank you to all the staff, visitors and residents who joined us in sending our best wishes to the happy couple.

"I can honestly say we haven’t missed our old house at all. I feel like we have left all our worries behind. All the stresses and strains have gone away and we’re enjoying our life again."
