Last Friday was Valentine's Day, which meant it was time for celebration at all Westward Care locations.

At The Cedars, residents celebrated Valentine’s Day this year by composing some personal poetry about all the things that they love. This was followed by a Valentine's tea party, where Cedars residents enjoyed some heart-shaped sandwiches and biscuits, along with a treat bag.

At Pennington Court, pupils from Greenmount Primary School joined residents to make Valentine's decorations. (The children had such a good time they asked when they can come again!) Pennington Court residents were then treated to a history of Valentine's Day, and had a singalong and dance to old love songs. Ada and Paul also made plenty of Valentine's cupcakes to share with their fellow Pennington residents on the big day.

Last but not least, Headingley Hall was decked in heart-shaped decorations for Valentine's Day, which brought a private meal for the Headingley Hall couples, as well as entertainment and roses for all on the day itself. This year, love was truly in the air at Westward Care!
"What a superb team and all are happy in their work which is key to providing a good service."
