As we enter a
new era for Westward Care, there’s no better time to announce our latest employees of the month - those staff members who are shining examples of our new LOVE (Living Our Values Every Day) initiative.
In September at
Headingley Hall, staff singled out care assistant Dawn Benson Raines for praise, with colleagues writing that Dawn is “committed”, “always a team player” and “always kind and considerate to all the residents”.
Over at Hunslet Moor House, Senior Support Worker Gareth Smith was again named employee of the month, after he was previously singled out
in February of this year. In September, colleagues called Gareth “easy to approach” and “a great asset to the team”, one who “consistently goes above and beyond in his role, demonstrating compassion, patience and professionalism in every interaction”.
Pennington Court’s social activities coordinator, Lyn Jones, was voted the home’s latest employee of the month, with one colleague noting that she is “always on the go doing lots of activities”.
It was Sarah Brown’s work with new staff at
The Cedars that brought her praise last month, with one staff member citing “really positive feedback from the new starters” whom Sarah has been lately guiding and supervising.
At
Southlands, Erich Mendes and the apartments’ head chef Noel Wood shared the honour of being named employee of the month in September. One colleague wrote: “Both Noel and Erich are obliging, helpful and always have a big smile on their faces. They try extremely hard to serve us the food we enjoy and the way we prefer it to be cooked. Well done to both.”
As we say congratulations to our September employees of the month, we also say thank you to all Westward Care staff, who already are working hard to live our new values of trust, kindness, respect and teamwork.
