Over the past few months, we’ve welcomed some brilliant poets to Westward Care, including Chris Meredith and Kate Phipps – but we also have some very talented poets among our residents too.

This Spring our Headingley Hall and Southlands residents have been creating poems to share with the fellow residents, our Westward Care staff, and now the wider world.

Over at Southlands, Tony regaled staff and residents with this brilliant (and very funny) poem of his own creation. You can watch over on our Facebook page, here

And notice that Tony recites the whole this from memory – we told you he was talented!

And our ladies at Headingley Hall got thinking about the fashion of yesteryear and created this brilliant poem too. You can read it here.

"The most outstanding thing about the home is the staff. Their kindness, patience, cheerfulness and intelligence is a constant surprise. This applies not only to the professional care staff but to all the other members of staff who are also exceptional. "
