On Sunday 29 June, Methley Cricket Club played host to a summer family fun day which went down a treat with the local community.

While the barbecue, cake stand and bouncy castle were all well received, the centrepiece event of the day saw the Under 9s Girls cricket team play a great game against their older and more experienced male counterparts in the Under 9s Boys team - and all in spite of the stifling heat!

This is the Under 9s Girls team's first year of playing, and Westward Care has been proud to sponsor the team and provide them with their kit as they make their start in the league.

Westward Care Managing Director and cricket fan Peter Hodkinson was there on the day to show his support, while plans are already underway for a future game to take place at the lawn at The Cedars care home, just a short walk away from Methley Cricket Club.
"Westward Care are truly supportive of everyone's professional development. If you want to improve and enhance your career they will provide and guide you towards the right training."
