As well as welcoming families and friends for birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions, we’ve also marked Valentine’s Day, Chinese New Year and Burns’ Night with special meals, drinks and activities.
 
Valentine’s Day is a particular favourite occasion here at Westward Care – as many of our residents have had long and happy marriages, it’s a lovely moment to stop and celebrate.
 
Headingley Hall marked Valentine’s Day by handmaking cards for their loved ones, had a glass of champagne and talked about the secrets to long and happy marriages. And our fantastic creative ladies at Pennington Court celebrated Valentine’s Day by baking heart-shaped biscuits to have with their mid-morning cup of tea (and they were delicious!).
