Our Headingley Hall residents enjoyed their very first visit  from Joe's Owl Encounters this month. They were also joined by some of our little friends from the local Montessori nursery.

Joe's ethical and engaging hands on animal encounters really inspired our residents. They were very keen and as you can see from the photos lots were brave enough to have the birds on their arms using the special glove!

Residents and children also learnt more about each species as the handler gave us information and took questions about each bird he brought out.

We're looking forward to welcoming them again in the near future.

"Moving here has been my salvation. Knowing that help and support is always on hand has removed all of the anxiety I used to feel and it has meant that I can now get on with my life with very little support at all. Everyone involved in getting me here has been absolutely fantastic, patient, caring and kind."
