As we arrive at the end of another month, it's time to announce the latest group of Westward Care staff members who have been singled out for praise by their colleagues.
Georgina Smith was named employee of the month at
The Cedars in August for her remarkable personal and professional development. As one colleague put it: "Georgina has grown in confidence in her senior role and is very receptive of the changes that need to be made."
At
Pennington Court, Imran Ahmed impressed everyone by stepping up as chef at the home last month. Pennington staff who voted Imran as August's employee of the month noted his "very pleasant" and "attentive" nature in the role.
February runner-up Nicola Hunter, from Headingley @ Home, was named employee of the month in August for her enthusiasm in helping out both office staff and residents. One colleague called Nicola "the Pamper Queen of Apartments", referring to the pamper sessions by Nicola that clients so enjoy.
Claire Barnes is Hunslet Moor House's August employee of the month in part for all of her recent work in the Bistro, where Claire has been "building up strong friendships and trust" with residents, who "regularly ask if [Claire]'s working...as they look forward to seeing her".
Last but not least, housekeeping team member Mary Graham was voted
Headingley Hall's employee of the month in August. Noting that she had "worked extremely hard", one colleague wrote that Mary was "so kind and caring for residents", always putting "them and their wants and needs above all else".
Thank you, as always, to all staff members who voted, and to all the Westward Care staff who continue to go above and beyond across all of our locations.
