February might be the shortest month of the year, but that hasn’t stopped the staff at Headingley Hall from packing the calendar with events for our residents.

For Valentine’s Day, our staff treated residents to a special delivery of flowers and gifts. Inspired by the day, our residents also wrote messages of love – some chose to share relationship advice, notes of thanks and some beautiful reflections on romance.

“Thank you for all your care – my Valentine wishes are very strong.”

“Tip – do something special on a regular basis!”

“You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”

Then everyone at Headingley Hall got in on the flippin’ fun for pancake day. Our chefs in the kitchen supplied residents with a range of treats, so residents filled their pancakes with everything from Nutella, fruit and chocolate to the traditional favourite, lemon and sugar.

To round off our busy month, from 22-28 February, our staff celebrated International Week – stopping off in Italy and paying a visit to a mini leaning Tower of Pisa!

"The staff at Westward Care clearly love their jobs and the residents. It is evident that they go above and beyond for the people in their care."
