Do you know someone who works for Westward Care who you’d like to nominate for an award for the care and support they have shown to you, your family or as part of your team? Someone, perhaps, who you’d like to see celebrated for their efforts?

Nominations for 2024’s Leeds Quality in Care Awards are now open, so now’s your chance to show a standout care worker or care team how much all their hard work has meant!

There are ten categories in the Leeds Quality in Care Awards. While a care team or home on the whole can be nominated for awards including Digital Innovation and Outstanding Contribution to Social Care, categories in which individual staff members can be nominated include:
  • Established Care or Support Worker of the Year
  • New Paid or Support Worker of the Year
  • Volunteer of the Year
Just last year, Sharon Earnshaw - who has worked with Westward Care for over 20 years - won the Quality in Care Awards' Registered Manager of the Year award for 2022, after her colleagues at Headingley Hall nominated her for the prize.

Nominations for the 2024 Leeds Quality in Care Awards close on 30 September. You can fill in an online form at bit.ly/LCC-care-awards, or to request a paper copy you can email leadership.academy@leeds.gov.uk or call 0113 378 5032.
"The staff at Westward Care clearly love their jobs and the residents. It is evident that they go above and beyond for the people in their care."
