National Pie Week at Pennington Court
Everyone loves a pie and last week our Catering Manager pulled out all the stops to create some delicious homemade pies at Pennington Court. Chicken & Leek pie along with Salmon en croute were enjoyed by residents before finishing off with Banoffee Pie.
Residents also enjoyed baking Apple and Blackberry Pies with our Activities Coordinator, Lyn. Baking is an ever popular activity at Pennington Court and with our designated Activities Room, residents frequently have the opportunity to create culinary masterpieces whilst relaxing and enjoying a chat and a cup of tea.
Studies have shown that baking can be an effective form of therapy that can help aid relaxation and also reduce stress and we are happy to be able to provide this activity to our residents.
"I can't praise Pennington Court highly enough. The loving caring staff, the quality of care, the food, in fact, everything about the care home."
Clive
