For many people, a care home is often their final residence: a place where they will spend the last years of their life.

We subsequently believe that wherever possible we should make our residents feel at home and provide the highest possible standards of care. This ensures people have the comfort and reassurance of spending the remainder of their life in caring and familiar surroundings, with people they know.

An award-winning network of support

We also appreciate the difficulties families face during this time and have developed a framework of feedback and support, to encourage residents and relatives to join our discussions and voice their preferences.

As a team, we are extremely proud to have achieved the top award of Beacon Status for End Of Life Care in Care Homes, under The Gold Standards Framework, at our Pennington Court Nursing Home. We are also proud of our staff at Headingley Hall for successfully completing the Care Homes End of Life Support Services (CHESS) programme, which was run by Leeds Primary Care Trust. Both these prestigious awards recognise residential care providers who provide a high level of care.

This established network of support offers considerable peace of mind to residents and their families at a difficult time. It guarantees residents greater control and more involvement in their care, over the last period of their lives.
